School Volunteer Information

If you are interested in volunteering at Melton during the school day (classroom support, playground duty, parent organizations), you must complete a RAPTOR Volunteer Application online for Washoe County Schools. This application must be completed every 5 years.

If you were an approved volunteer as of June 6th, 2025, then you do not need to complete a new application for 5 years. If you need to confirm, please contact the office at 775-746-7440.

New applications will need to be submitted every 5 years and WCSD will run regular checks to ensure the safety of our kids.

Once approved, please bring your ID for every volunteer opportunity. Your ID will be scanned to create a personal nametag sticker to be always worn during your volunteer hours at the school or on a fieldtrip.
